Arch Rock is one of the most amazing sights on the island! Take in the huge natural arch while overlooking Lake Huron. Arch rock was formed by wind and water that eroded the limestone away, which left the much tougher breccia rock still standing. This breccia rock is what forms the arch today!

Mackinac Island State Park has quite a few options for you to see! The Benjamin Blacksmith Shop demonstrates how a blacksmith shop worked back in the day. The American Fur Co. Store & Dr. Beaumont Museum let visitors tour the store as it was in its hay day and learn about the medical wonder Dr. Beaumont performed, and how medicine benefitted! The McGulpin house is one of the oldest buildings on the island and demonstrates what life was like for American Fur Co. baker, William McGulpin. The Biddle House tells a somber history of what it was like for Anishnaabek woman, Agatha Biddle and her family as her culture was forced to change. Fort Mackinac illustrates how life in the fort functions, from firing cannons and marching soldiers to the more daily aspects of life.
